Layering multiple motifs through screen printing, using my motifs more subtly. This sample combines the colours in other samples. 

50/50 cotton/polyester base, recycled bed linen, original colour used with textured yellow background applied.

1.

Textured screen print using my own motif layered but contrasting colours this time, introducing a darker sample to the collection.

2.

Pattern based print focusing on repeats and having the motif more recognisable. This sample brings in more breathing space and balanced the colour of the collection.

Bleached cotton sourced from local university fabric store and screen printed with a green background.

3.

Layered textural screen print using a metallic silver/grey mixed ink and my own motif repeated. A busy textural print to contrast the above.

Polyester base, sourced from local university fabric store and screen printed with a blue background.

4.

Screen printed using my own motif repeated, focusing on block colour and linear line and carefully considering placement and negative space to let the colour and motif breath.

Donated fabric base with synthetic/elastic qualities, sourced from local university fabric store, original colour used.

5.

Screen printed using my own motif repeated, focusing on repeats and clean lines. This sample is lighter than the others to break up the collection, using lighter colours and smaller scale motifs. 

Recycled and re-sold cotton weave, locally sourced in Nottingham, original colour used.

6.

* All samples used inks which I mixed my self using different pigments to match my colour selection.
